Local regulations require the taxi driver to run the taxi meter on each trip and to charge the amount on the meter. Flat rates are not permitted. Our metered rates are regulated by the Anne Arundel County government. Also note the required surcharge for transport during a declared Snow Emergency. Metered rate for the first 1/10 mile $2.90 Then 25 cents for each 1/10 mile thereafter ($2.50 per mile). Additional Charges: Each 37.5 seconds waiting time 25 cents (40 cents per minute) Each suitcase in excess of two 25 cents Each trunk, foot locker or other over-sized personal property $1.00 Passenger is to pay all tolls.
